Blog #7



1. El optimista cree que todos nosotros (salvar) el planeta Tierra. También piensa que los ninos (jugar) en bosques lindos, (nadar) en rios limpios, (respirar) aire puro y (ser) felices.

El pesimista dice que (haber) más contaminanción, del aire y los niños no (divertirse) en los bosques tropicales porque los pobres nenes no (poder) respirar sin máscara. Tú también (estar) preocupado por el futuro.

2. El optimista piensa que los médicos (encontrar) una cura para el SIDA y el cáncer y los ecologistas (resolver) los problemas ambientales. Todos los políticos (saber) que si no cuidamos el planeta, la vida no (valer) nada.

El pesimista dice que nosotros (tener) más problemas de salud y muchas personas (morir) de los efectos de la contaminación porque el gobierno no (hacer) nada para evitar este crisis global. Las naciones del mundo no se (comunicar) y no se (poner) de acuerdo en cuanto a las soluciones.

The author of this poem won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1956 because of his good poetry!

blog number six :

  •  Red Brocket Deer  
  • i am slightly hump-backed and bronze. Males have single-prong horns though, if you scare me i snort or i will stomp my hoof. 
  • I liven in the rain forest,  which is where i spend the majority of my time. I like the dense jungles. I am short enough to fit through the vegetation. I like to live by the rivers in swampy areas.
  • I enjoy vegetation, I eat fruit too when I can find it, that is what I prefer. I eat fungi as well, when there is no fruit I go for the leaves.
  • During the day I am active, but at night I rest. I males come together with males to mate only briefly.
  • You humans stalk me on a regular basis, For my tender delicious meat. I still exist other popular deer
  •  I dont move when i sense danger, i am  often motionless. I will run and then freeze and look back.
  • I can live seven to twelve years. My worst enemies are humans, jaguars, p
  • umas, snakes and prey.

facts of childhood :
When he was growing up, they standing army in Costa Rica was taken down. SO he grew up up without a standing army as protection. 
He is from an upper class family
Went to one of the top schools in San Jose
only child
very intelligent

I think it was just wanting to work for peace, and politics. He was involved with medicine at first.



my opinion on if he had any bearing on Costa Rica:
I think he did, I think because of him,  Costa Rica has a good name and "peace" he did good things for costa rica.
